PloneGov: on 16 September, official launch in Ferrara

RedTurtle Technology and the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara organize the official launch of PloneGov in Italy, with the Italian ZEA Partners

The Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara, one of the best customers of RedTurtle Technology, was the first Italian organization to join PloneGov, the e-government initiative (supported by ZEA Partners) putting at disposal of Public Organizations using Plone a "reutilization portal" for any Plone-based solution developed by PloneGov participants, as well as an opportunity for sharing experiences. Plonegov is particularly successful in other European countries (in particular Belgium, where PloneGov is a leader of the open source "market", and Spain), but still isn't sufficiently known in Italy.
To promote also in Italy the positive chain of effects characterizing the PloneGov experience, the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara organizes a one day convention / workshop about PloneGov, aimed at Italian Public Organizations interested in the diffusion of open source software in their information systems. About one hundred participants are expected, among them representatives of stakeholders like ANCI and ANCITEL, and the presence of highly qualified speakers is granted, including Xavier Heymans, CEO of ZEA Partners, and Joël Lambillotte, the City of Sambreville's IT Manager.
The event includes two sessions: morning talks will begin at 10.00 AM and end at 13.00, to be followed by a buffet lunch and an afternoon meeting session among the Public Administrations and the ZEA Partners businesses. RedTurtle Technology played an active role in the organization and in the speakers' choice, and created the contacts among the Chamber of Commerce and some of the event's Scientific Board members.
